On the right side of the coin there is a portrait of Raqymjan Qoshqarbaev in a military uniform from the period of the Great Patriotic War, who was the first to raise the flag on the Reichstag on April 30, 1945. To the left of the portrait there is a badge of the highest degree of distinction in Kazakhstan "HALYQ QAHARMANY", which he was awarded posthumously in 1999.
