Australia is a continent rich in history, cultural diversity and unique habitats. The Perth Mint is pleased to announce the second 2014 gold coin design from the popular series, The Land Down Under.

The incredible Great Barrier Reef is the largest living structure on the planet, and one of the seven natural wonders of the world. Featuring a stunning array of coral in bright and beautiful colours, and a breathtaking variety of marine creatures, the reef offers some of the most spectacular maritime scenery on Earth.

The coin’s reverse depicts a green sea turtle swimming among coral. The inscriptions THE LAND DOWN UNDER and GREAT BARRIER REEF also appear in the design with The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark and the weight and fineness of the coin.

Issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, the coin features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the 2014 year-date, and the monetary denomination on the obverse.

The coin is housed in a prestigious wooden case within a beautifully illustrated shipper, and is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

Королевский монетный двор Канады в апреле 2014 года выпустил «свежую», красочную монету «Канадский кленовый навес», посвященную весне. Монета выпущена в рамах серии «Крона клена».

Весна — одно из самых захватывающих времен года Канады. На улицах происходит «взрыв свежей зелени» и новой жизни. Природа меняется с каждым часом — навстречу солнцу появляется множество новых бутонов и листьев. Воздух наполняется свежестью. Но самой красивой достопримечательностью Канады становится клен, возвышающийся навесом свежих, ярких листьев.

Аверсы монет традиционные: портрет королевы Елизаветы II и надписи «ELIZABETH II» и «D • G • REGINA».

Монета была разработана канадским художником Маргарет Бест, который создал захватывающий дизайн клена в своих весна лучшее. Его динамическая и неожиданным точка зрения начинается у основания ствола и приводит в глаза вверх к великолепным навесом дерева красиво расширенной в ярких оттенков весенней зелени. Филиал на переднем плане обеспечивает дополнительную перспективу, чтобы принести характерную форму кленового листа в поле зрения.

Монета 20 долларов из серебра 999-й пробы (proof) имеет вес 31,39 г, диаметр 38 мм. Тираж — 7 500 шт.

Монетный двор Польши для Острова Ниуэ в апреле 2014 года представил последнюю, пятую монету «Донна Велата» серии «Шедевры Ренессанса».

«Донна Велата» (итал. Ritratto di donna или La Velata – «женщина под покрывалом») — один из известнейших портретов художника итальянского Возрождения Рафаэля Санти. Полагают, что натурщицей для данной работы служила возлюбленная Рафаэля, изображенная на полотне Форнарина.  настоящее время картина выставлена в Палатинской галерее Палаццо Питти во Флоренции.

На аверсе расположен изысканный орнамент, украшенный селективным золочением. Ниже расположен стилизованный фрагмент ренессансного аттика. Слева — портрет королевы Великобритании Елизаветы II работы Яна Бродли (Ian Rank-Broadley FRBS), знак монетного двора «m/w» и номинал «1 DOLLAR». По окружности – надписи: «NIUE ISLAND», проба серебра «Ag 999», «ELIZABETH II» и «2014».

На реверсе изображена многоцветная репродукция «Донны Велаты». Справа – характерный для эпохи Возрождения орнамент. По обеим сторонам картины выгравированы надписи «WOMAN WITH THE VEIL» и «PORTRET KOBIETY» (название монеты на английском и польском языках).

The Mint of Poland presents the fifth and last coin of the “Renaissance Masterpieces” series. From now on the coin depicting a faithful replica of one of the most magnificent pieces of Renaissance art may be a wonderful complement to your collection.

This work of coinage combines rich painting tradition and modern trends in contemporary mint art – a fruit of mastery of the great Italian painter and the highest artistry of coin minting. The uniqueness of the coin is emphasized by its intriguing theme, innovative decorations and the exceptional shape of a square.

In the upper part of the coin – sophisticated ornaments embellished with selective gold plating. Below – a stylized piece of the Renaissance attic.  On the left – an effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the mint mark (m/w) and face value (1 DOLLAR). Along the rim – inscriptions: NIUE ISLAND (the issuer), Ag 999 (the hallmark), ELIZABETH II and the year of issue: 2014.

The reverse of the coin depicts a multicolour replica of the “Woman with the Veil”. On the right – ornaments characteristic for the Renaissance art. On both sides of the painting – inscriptions: WOMAN WITH THE VEIL / PORTRET KOBIETY (the name of the painting in Polish and English).

Королевский монетный двор Великобритании по заказу острова Олдерни в апреле 2014 года выпустил первую монету серии «От принцессы до монарха», посвященную Елизавете II.

В серии планируется выпустить 24 монет на 12 различных тем, посвященным ее семье, интересам, обязанностям и т.д. То есть каждой теме посвящено по две монеты: на одной будет показана принцесса Елизавета II, на другой – королева Елизавета II.

На аверсе отчеканен портрет королевы Великобритании Елизаветы II работы Яна Бродли (Ian Rank-Broadley FRBS). Вдоль края полукругом выгравированы название эмитента «ALDERNEY», номинал «5 POUNDS», имя монарха «ELIZABETH II» и год чеканки «2014».

Монетный двор Польши в апреле 2014 года представил монету «Христос с причастием» созданную, дабы увековечить таинство Первого причастия. Монета, выполнена с использованием современных технологий – изображение на реверсе монеты является верной репродукцией фрагмента картины Хуана де Хуанеса «Тайная вечеря», выполненной при помощи цветной цифровой печати.

В центре аверса расположен профильный портрет Ее Величества Королевы Елизаветы  II. Вокруг выгравированы надписи: «ELIZABETH II», эмитент «NIUE ISLAND», год выпуска «2014» и номинал «2 DOLLARS».

The Mint of Poland presents a coin „Christ with the Chalice” designed to commemorate the sacrament of the First Holy Communion.

The coin is a combination of sacral art, minting tradition and modern technologies – the  famous painting „Christ with the Chalice” by Juan de Juanes has been faithfully mapped with multicolored digital printing.  A design of the coin as well as its packaging abounds in decorations and Christian motifs forming a harmonious ensemble maintained in sacral style.

The reverse presents a multicoloured digitally printed image of the famous “Christ with the Chalice” by Juan de Juanes. On both sides of the painting – a christogram IHS (a symbol of Jesus Christ in the form of an acronym) and a dove being the symbol of the Holy Spirit. In the background – stylized decorative motifs.

The central part of the coin bears the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II surrounded by inscriptions: ELIZABETH II, NIUE ISLAND (the issuer), the year of issue: 2014 and the face value: 2 DOLLARS.

Первая очередь музейно-туристического комплекса «Завод-Сузун. Монетный двор» откроется в октябре этого года, сообщает пресс-служба областного правительства в пятницу.

«К этому времени будет готово здание толчельни, где будут располагаться экспонаты, связанные с производством металла и временно – с чеканкой «сибирской монеты», – говорится в сообщении.

Открытие первой очереди приурочено к празднованию 250-летия с момента основания поселка Сузун. В полном объеме музейно-туристический комплекс «Завод-Сузун. Монетный двор» заработает в 2016 году – в год 250-летия чеканки сибирской монеты.
»В обновленном Монетном дворе туристам покажут семь технологических циклов создания монет», – сказано в пресс-релизе.
Как сообщалось, общая стоимость проекта музейно-туристического комплекса оценивается примерно в 1 млрд рублей, в том числе около 430 млн рублей планируется выделить из бюджетов разного уровня, остальные средства предполагается привлечь за счет частных инвесторов.

Ранее при раскопках на территории завода была получена коллекция находок, относящаяся к технологическому процессу изготовления монет, в частности, монетные кружки и вырубки – медные пластины, из которой вырубался кружок под монету. В музеях на других монетных дворах России подобных материалов нет.

Сузунский медеплавильный завод и монетный двор были построены как часть Колывано-Воскресенских заводов в 1764 году. С 1766 по 1847 гг. там чеканилась так называемая «сибирская монета», ходившая в Сибирской губернии.
