The Royal Canadian Mint has unveiled the fourth coin "Honesty" in a series Honoring teachings of the First Nations people of Canada.

An honest person is a giant within their community. People are drawn to their authentic nature, their open and accepting ways. Honest people do not pretend to be something they are not, and the words they speak can be trusted 100 percent.

First Nations communities across Canada share an ancient legend of Kitch-Sabe, a giant who walked among the people to teach this sacred virtue. To be called "honest" is the greatest honour. This lesson is also embodied by the raven as it embraces its own gifts and does not long for the beauty, strength or talents that may have been given to others. But the raven can also be a trickster; and too often, people emulate it in this way. People who are truly honest stand tall in the knowledge of who they are.

Honesty is one of the Seven Sacred Teachings that honour the traditional concepts of respect and sharing that are the cornerstones of Aboriginal life. While variations of these teachings do exist throughout North America, this diversity only enriches them and underscores the universality of their wisdom.

Canadian Métis artist Nathalie Bertin has created a powerful image of the towering yet friendly figure of the giant Kitch-Sabe welcoming a raven onto his arm. In the background, a bough of cedar, known for its protective and grounding qualities, reinforces Sabe’s teaching of honesty. Honesty is one of the Seven Sacred Teachings that honour the traditional concepts of respect and sharing that are the cornerstones of Aboriginal life. While variations of these teachings do exist throughout North America, this diversity only enriches them and underscores the universality of their wisdom. To be called "honest" is the greatest honor.

Для Острова Ниуэ в 2014 году выпущена монета «Орловский рысак».

Орловский рысак — знаменитая русская порода легкоупряжных лошадей. Выведена в России, на Хреновском конном заводе (Воронежская губерния), под руководством его владельца графа А. Г. Орлова во второй половине XVIII — начале XIX веков методом сложного воспроизводительного скрещивания с использованием арабской, датской, голландской, мекленбургской и других пород. В 2006 году породе исполнилось 230 лет. Известна своим использованием в русских тройках в качестве коренников. Орловцы пользуются неизменной популярностью на международных аукционах лошадей. Орловские рысаки используются также под седлом как прогулочные и спортивные лошади. Благодаря способности красиво изгибать шеи и держать голову орловцы хорошо смотрятся в упряжках.

На аверсе в центре расположен портрет королевы Великобритании Елизаветы II, вокруг которого указаны надписи: «ELIZABETH II • NIUE • ONE DOLLAR», «2014». Вдоль края монеты — бусовый обод.

Реверс представляет прорисованное изображение мчащегося рысака. Композиция завершена подковой в цвете, изображенной вдоль нижнего края монеты. Также выгравированы характеристики монеты: «Ag 925» и «26,15 g».

Монета 1 новозеландский доллар из серебра 925-й пробы (proof), имеет вес 28,28 г, диаметр 38,61 мм. Тираж – до 7000 шт.

In 2014, Niue issued a silver coin "Orlovsky Trotter".

The Orlovsky Trotter (also known as Orlov, Orlov Trotter. Russian: Oрловский рысак) is a most famous Russian horse. The breed was developed in Russia in the late 18th century by Count Alexei Orlov at his Khrenovskoy Stud farm near the town of Bobrov (Voronezh guberniya).

Obverse:  Effigy of Elizabeth II. Inscriptions: “Elizabeth II” , “Niue Island” as well as “2013″ and “One dollar”.

Reverse: In the centre of the coin an Orlovsky Trotter jumping over an golden horse-shoe. Inscriptions: “Ag 925″ and “26,15g” (weight of pure metal).

Монетный двор Чехии в январе 2014 года начал новую серию монет «Монеты Трех Императоров», посвященные основателю знаменитой европейской королевской династии Каролингов. Первый выпуск посвящен Карлу Великому. Далее будут выпущены монеты «Карл IV» и «Карл I Австрийский».

Карл I Великий (лат. Carolus Magnus, 742/747–748) — король франков с 768 (в южной части с 771) года, король лангобардов с 774 года, герцог Баварии c 788 года, император Запада с 800 года. Старший сын Пипина Короткого и Бертрады Лаонской. По имени Карла династия Пипинидов получила название Каролингов. Прозвище «Великий» Карл получил ещё при жизни. 

Своими успешными войнами Карл раздвинул границы Франкского государства на огромное расстояние. Столь же неутомимо, входя во все мелочи, заботился он об улучшении государственного устройства, о материальном и духовном развитии своего государства. Император даже приказал составить грамматику народного языка. В особенности он заботился об устройстве школ при церквах и монастырях; при своем дворе он устроил род академии для образования своих детей, а также придворных и их сыновей.

На аверсе изображне портрет королевы Великобритании Елизаветы II, окруженный орнаментом с религиозным мотивом. Вдоль края аверса расположены надписи: «ELIZABETH II • 10 DOLLARS» или «50 CENTS • 2014 • NIUE ISLAND •». В левой верхней части расположен знак монетного двора.

Реверс представляет портрет Карла I и его монограмма. Вверху вдоль края выгравирован его имя и годы правления «CAROLVS MAGNVS • IMP • DCCCXIV • MMXIV». Дизайнер Vladimír Oppl.

Монета 10 новозеландских долларов из золота 999-й пробы (proof), имеет вес 15,56 г, диаметр 28 мм. Тираж — 500 шт. Цена 680 евро.

This year is marked with the 1,200th anniversary of the death of Charles the Great, Frankian king, Duke of Bavaria and the first mediaeval Roman Emperor.

This great historic figure is linked with the origins of Europe, transformed by Christianity into a civilised space of emerging states opening to culture and education. The Europe of his time was different from Europe as we know it today, and yet today's Europe is based on the foundations he laid and turns to his throne in Aachen as to a symbol of European unity.

The silver commemorative Smart coin Charles the Great is issued in a limited edition of a mere 1,000 pieces. It is an extraordinary emission of the Czech Mint, the first of the series Coins of Three Emperors. The artistic design was prepared in the workshop of the top academic sculptor Vladimír Oppl. On the reverse side the author shows a portrait of Charles the Great inspired by his bust displayed in the Aachen cathedral where the throne of this first Roman Emperor is situated. On the obverse side there is a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. It is interesting to note that the British Queen is a descendant of Charles the Great of 41st generation in the line including Charles IV.

Three Emperors Coin Series
In the context of the anniversaries of the coming years 2014 - 2016 personalities of three European monarchs connected by name and Christian tradition come to our attention: Charles the Great, Charles IV and Charles I of Austria. These three sovereigns deriving their name and dignity from the word Carolus, i.e. Charles and King in one, stand at the beginning, in the middle and at the end of the more than a thousand year long history of Europe and despite the many dark stains on the face of the age they are linked with the light of the heritage of the spirit, the faith, the tradition and the blood.

The Czech Mint prepares a limited collector edition of three pairs of coins with portraits of these great figures of European history. The coins will be issued one by one in the period 2014 – 2016.

На аверсе отчеканен портрет королевы Великобритании Елизаветы II работы Яна Бродли (Ian Rank-Broadley FRBS). Вокруг выгравированы надписи: «ELIZABETH II», эмитент «COOK ISLANDS» и номинал «5 DOLLARS».

Реверс изображен в виде плитки шоколада, с которой частично снята обертка, украшенная растительным орнаментом. Сама плитка выполнена в цвете. Справа внизу указан год чеканки «2014».

The Royal Canadian Mint has unveiled the third of seven coins in a series Honoring teachings of the First Nations people of Canada, which are Love, Respect, Courage, Honesty, Wisdom, Humility and Truth. It's an outstanding collection of Aboriginal wisdom and art.

The bear is one of seven animals featured in the Seven Sacred Teachings practiced by Aboriginal people throughout North America for living a full and happy life. The bear's lesson is courage; the ability to overcome fear, to fight for what is right, and knowing when it is best to yield. When we face difficult challenges, the bear will support us and guide us towards the wisdom and strength of our inner warrior.

There is a time for everything; a time to yield and a time to fight. The bear teaches this well when it sets aside its shy and solitary nature to reveal its inner strength. A mother bear defending her cubs is unstoppable; she is ferocious and will fight to the end. She does this because she knows it is right. It takes courage to stand up despite the fear. Such strength is not only physical, but mental and moral as well. Every person faces challenges that need the support and guidance of the courageous bear.

Coin was designed by Canadian Métis artist Nathalie Bertin who has created a powerful image of a great bear standing behind an abstract warrior figure. The bear's head is lowered because there is no need for an outward display of strength; everyone knows the bear's power. The bear is the warrior's mentor and guide; a source of wisdom and courage to fight when necessary. The background pattern of sweetgrass reinforces the bear's teachings. Sweetgrass is considered the hair of Mother Earth and is therefore braided.

Королевский монетный двор Нидерландов в 2014 году отчеканил для официального агентства по выпуску новозеландских памятных монет набор монет «Южный и северный острова», посвященных двум самым крупным новозеландским островам.

Южный остров (англ. South Island, маори — Te Waipounamu) — самый большой остров Новой Зеландии (второй по величине — Северный остров). Площадь составляет 150 437 кв. км., это 12-й по величине остров в мире. Местные жители часто называют его «материком».

Северный остров (англ. North Island, маори — Te Ika-a-Māui) — один из двух главных островов Новой Зеландии. Площадь – 113 729 кв. км. В значительно меньшей степени покрыт горами, чем Южный. На Северном острове имеется высокая вулканическая активность. В самом центре Северного острова — самое большое в Новой Зеландии озеро Таупо. Отсюда вытекает самая длинная река Новой Зеландии Уаикато, длина которой равна 425 км.
